10 Lesson You Should Learn From Asia About Coronavirus Outbreak #COVID19

The Global Health Community has learned some valuable lessons from watching how Asia handled the #CoronavirusOutbreak in the early days.

For weeks, in many parts of Asia, children have been home from school, workers have worked from home, and people have learned to live their lives in the midst of the outbreak.

With that in mind, here is some guidance to remain safe, secure and successful through the uncertainty and danger of COVID-19 from people who have already witnessed it.

😷😷😷 *Speak to your kids about COVID-19* 😷😷😷

"Obviously it's really age-dependent. For your younger school-aged children, it learns the truth of what the virus 🦠 is and compares it to other items they're familiar with at school. There in Asia, there is talk of hand foot and mouth disease and head lice is everywhere. All the things that are strongly negotiable.

*Keep your hands on yourself*

"When you're out there, try not to touch things. People may have sneezed their hands and touched the surroundings, and the germs 🦠 can last for days. When you touch it and put your hands on the mucosal surface (like your eyes, nose, and mouth), you might get the disease.

You should use tissue to push door handles or elevator buttons, for example, so that you are not in direct contact with any possible bacteria. When you're not near a shower, using a hand sanitizer.

😷😷*Cancel your travel plans*😷😷

"I just advise people not to fly at this moment. It's very risky to fly, particularly these few weeks when it's already spreading to all countries around the world. The most worrying thing, I suppose, is that when you're going out there's no travel restrictions, but when you come back there may be, and you need to quarantine yourself.

😷*Keep on top of the latest news, but don't fix it 24/7*😷

"It's important to know what programs are in effect in your local community. For example, you want to know if your library, your post office, is open before you make a wasted ride. Yet it's not safe to watch the news all the time. Switch the news off, put some Netflix on, read a book, take care of other things in your mind.
